Square Enix’s Creative Business Unit 3 has revealed that it is open and willing to creating new Final Fantasy games down the line following its work on Final Fantasy XVI.
Speaking during a meet and greet even in Malaysia, the studio revealed that it isn’t done with FFXVI yet (which may imply a PC is on the way or possibly DLC), and that more content for Final Fantasy XIV is on the way.
For those unaware, Creative Business Unit 3 worked on Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIV and its various expansions including Heavenward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker.
Final Fantasy XVI was released for PS5 on June 22, 2023 and went straight to the number one spot on the UK All Format Chart. You can read our full review of the game here.
