Speaking during its latest business webcast overnight, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed a number of interesting statistics about PlayStation Plus, particularly its PS Plus Premium and PS Plus Extra tiers.
For starters, PS Plus Premium has attracted eight million subscribers, while PS Plus Extra has notched up 6.1 million. Furthermore, the format holder noted that both tiers offer around one billion hours worth of gameplay across the various titles available.
Overall, 30% of the PS Plus user base is subscribed to PS Plus Extra or PS Plus Premium, with 14.1 million members in the first 10 months being locked to the higher tiers of the service.
Sony revealed during the same webcast that the PSVR 2 has sold 600,000 units during its first six weeks on sale. Furthermore, it has forecast the PS5 to beat PS4 on all key metrics by the end of FY23.
