The developer behind Friday the 13th: The Game has announced that it is boosting all players to the maximum level and awarding them all Legendary Perks as it prepares for the game’s delisting later this year.
Publisher Gun Media is pulling the game from digital storefronts on December 31, 2023, although if you’re a glass half full type, you’ll be pleased to know the game is still playable until the end of next year. After this, the servers are closing down for good.
If you’re still playing the game, then this Thursday will see the launch of a new update that will boost you to level 150 and give you access to 30 Legendary Perks.
Game Director Wes Keltner commented:
This was the best way we knew how to give you, the players, the best experience and a heartfelt thank you, as we move towards an inevitable goodbye.
Friday the 13th: The Game was released in 2017 and takes place in a semi-open world setting based on Camp Crystal Lake during the 1980s, as based on the classic slasher film franchise.
Friday the 13th is an asymmetrical multiplayer game, with seven players controlling camp counselors while another player assumes the role of Jason Voorhees. Players must avoid Jason while the person in control of the inexorable serial killer has to dispatch as many counselors as possible before the time runs out.
