Blizzard Entertainment bigwig Rod Fergusson has revealed that the studio is already working on two expansion for Diablo IV, with the first one nearly completion. Evidently, the company wants you to be plugging away at the dungeon crawler for quite some time.
Speaking with Kinda Funny Xcast, Fergusson revealed that Blizzard is busy wrapping up Season One and is working on Season Two to boot.
As I sit here we’re about to launch the main game, we’re finishing up season one, we’re working on season two, we’re working on expansion one, we’re kicking off expansion two… we’re working on that now [laughs] and we haven’t even launched the game.
Fergusson added that the live service model allows the team to produce DLC faster than what was achieved with Diablo III.
Diablo IV is due out on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One today. The game was previously released for Early Access customers on Friday for those who purchased the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Editions. Be sure to read our full Diablo IV review here.
