Former tipster The Snitch has revealed a boatload of new details for Rise of the Ronin, including a planned release during the first quarter of 2024 and the planned inclusion of romance options.
According to the leak, Rise of the Ronin is a mix of various titles including Assassin’s Creed, Ghost of Tsushima, and Dark Souls, and includes multiple side quests that are Ubisoft-like in their design.
Rise of Ronin will reportedly also support multiple difficult settings, with players able to tinker with skill and technique trees. Elsewhere, the game is set to include both Performance and Quality modes, with the team said to be trying to improve fidelity before launch.
Romance options are also planned and developer Team NINJA is aiming for a Q1 2024 launch.
Rise of the Ronin takes place during the end of the 300-year long Endo period, and takes the form of a combat-heavy open-world RPG. The game has been in the works for more than five years, so there’s a lot of expectations weighing on it, although the fact it hails from the same creative minds as Nioh means it’s in safe hands.
