Fresh from what many felt came off as a relatively lacklustre bunch of launch titles for PSVR2, it’s now been confirmed that the in-development VR update for No Man’s Sky will be launching alongside the headset on February 22.
Confirmed to Eurogamer by developer Hello Games, the update was initially revealed during Sony’s State of Play in June with no specific release date, and it wasn’t until an update to the game’s store page on PSN that showed an erroneous date of ‘February 2022′ was seemingly questioned by Eurogamer that confirmation followed that the game would in fact release in February, albeit 2023.
One of gaming’s great redemption stories, No Man’s Sky also saw release on Sony’s original PSVR which was well received although the technical limitations were evident, especially in terms of texture resolution.
We hope now given the significant technical leap with PSVR2 that No Man’s Sky can cement itself as a must-play title when it lines up with the likes of Horizon Call of the Mountain next February.
