The folks at VG Tech have put Battlefield 2042 under the microscope on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and have found that the version running on Sony’s latest console has the edge in terms of frame rate, which is prone to hiccups on Microsoft’s console.
According to the test, ‘very large frame time spikes’ were recorded on the Xbox Series X, which wasn’t the case on PS5 or Xbox Series X. Both PS5 and Xbox Series X employ a dynamic resolution in Battlefield 2042, which at its highest reaches 3840×2160 and lowest hits 2560×1440.
