CI Games will be offering a fresh glimpse at Lords of the Fallen at this week’s Future Games Show Summer Showcase.
The Future Games Showcase Twitter account revealed that fans can expect to “learn more about the parallel realms of Axiom and Umbral,” as well las witness some of the “colossal boss battles” featured in the game.
Lords of the Fallen is currently in development for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, with a release date confirmed for October 13, 2023. The game has been a long time coming, having originally been announced way back in December 2014, and was later confirmed for a 2017 release window.
Defiant Studios was working on the sequel for about a year before their contract was terminated by CI Games, with the publisher stating their work was “inadequate.” Production then moved to Hexworks in 2020, with the game powered by Unreal Engine 5.
Lords of the Fallen will receive a Collector’s Edition that includes a copy of the game, the Dark Crusader Starting Class, 100-page Digital Art Book, Digital Soundtrack, 3D Model Viewer, Metal Display Case, and a 10-inch Dark Crusader figurine.
