Rumor – Assassin’s Creed Mirage Release Date Targeting August 2023 Following Internal Delays

According to a report on Insider Gaming, Ubisoft is set to launch Assassin’s Creed Mirage in August 2023, with the game having been delayed twice internally.

Obviously nothing official has been announced yet and the report says that it is still subject change, but notes the game was originally due out earlier next year. This is set to be the final Assassin’s Creed game for last-generation consoles, and it is speculated that this is the reason why the game has already been delayed twice.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently in development for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, with Ubisoft so far only confirming the game will launch in 2023.

The game harkens back to the earlier entries in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, in the sense that eschews much of the RPG mechanics of recent instalments in favour of stealth and a AC Unity-inspired parkour system.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will star Basim, who previously appeared in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, as he navigates Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age in a new adventure that will feature elements of Arabic and Muslim mythology.
