Mortal Kombat 1 premiered only days ago as of this time of writing, with a rather incredible looking CGI trailer, that also confirmed rumours that this twelfth entry in the mainline series will be another reboot.
But it was only a CGI trailer, not actual gameplay, though thankfully we won’t have to wait long to see gameplay.
As part of Summer Games Fest 2023, during its opening show on June 8, 2023 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm BST, we’ll see the premiere gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, it’s been announced.
“Don’t miss the world gameplay premiere of Mortal Kombat 1 when Ed Boon joins Geoff Keighley live on stage at Summer Games Fest on Thursday, June 8.”
Mortal Kombat 1 is set to arrive this coming September, and will likely be one of the year’s biggest launches.
The last time the series was rebooted was back in 2011, and a reboot now offers the opportunity for a bevy of new fans to jump into the series without feeling like they are missing out on what came before.
