ORIGINAL STORY:
FromSoftware has reportedly sent out a consumer survey that has revealed the existence of a new mech combat game, which is assumed to be Armored Core 6.
According to ResetEra user Red Liquorice, who received the survey, the new FromSoftware mech title will feature “sci-fi world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki”, “three-dimensional, dynamic action” plus a “high degree of freedom in customisation.”
The game is a TPS (third person shooter) mech action title that lets you move around an overwhelmingly scaled map that represents a unique sci-fi world with dynamic mech action. You will face strong enemies and fierce battles both long and short range using guns and blade.
The ResetEra user also revealed that the survey featured some screenshots of the game as well as some brief footage, although this wasn’t shared due to the content being watermarked. They described some of the content as follows:
“The boss fight looked quite Soulsy – the long range gunfire reminded me of Virtua On, that’s my frame of reference, I’m not a mech fan and haven’t played any AC games. The player character in a white mech went in close to the bigger robot boss and fought with like an energy or laser sword, this looked Souls-style.”
Armored Core 6 will be the first major entry in the popular franchise in a decade, although at this point it’s wroth remembering Bandai Namco Games has yet to announce anything.
