Immortals Of Aveum Has Been Delayed Into August

Immortals Of Aveum, the first-person magic shooter that looks like a cross between Call Of Duty and your favourite magic-based fantasy title has been delayed just over a month into August, after previously being set to launch on July 20, 2023.

It’s new release date is set to fall on August 22, 2023.

Bret Robbins, founder of Ascendant Studios published a blog post on the studios official website announcing the delay, thanking those who’ve been so positive and responsive regarding the recent trailers and previews for Aveum, before confirming that the team would need more time to deliver Aveum at the quality bar they’re striving for.

“As you know, this is our first game as a self-funded independent studio. We set out five years ago to ambitiously make an original Magic FPS in a new fantasy world.

Along the way, we worked through a pandemic, built a new team, developed on Unreal Engine 5.1 and pushed the boundaries of what we thought was possible. Now, the finish line is in sight.

The recent feedback to the game proves to us what we already felt: that Immortals of Aveum is something special. In order to realize our full vision, we are going to take a few extra weeks, making our new launch date Tuesday, August 22nd.

This will give us time to further polish the game, finish optimizing all platforms, and deliver a strong launch. We owe it to ourselves and to you to get this right.”

It was already a short time-frame from when Immortals Of Aveum was revealed to when it was first said to release, so having to wait just a bit longer doesn’t hit players who were keen to dig into it themselves as hard as it could’ve had they been waiting years.

For now, Immortals Of Aveum looks like it will be an incredibly fun shooter that brings some twists to the FPS genre with its magical foundations.

Hopefully it’s all that and more when it launches on PS5 this August.
