Jim Ryan, CEO and President of Sony Interactive Entertainment, has revealed that the console maker will withhold information about the PS6 from Activision should the publishing giant be acquired by Microsoft.
The executive made the comments in a new deposition to the US Federal Trade Commission regarding Microsoft’s planned acquisition of the Call of Duty publisher, where he revealed Sony would be forced to withhold PS6 info if Activision is owned by Microsoft.
Is then asked about Sony working with Mojang (Minecraft) after MS bought them. Discussion is redacted but Ryan says it supports this concern.
Elsewhere, a declaration in December last year had Ryan commenting that PlayStation and Activision had collaborated on technical features for Call of Duty, although redactions mean we are unable to find out anymore details.
